The Avenue® East Cobb is a 225,000-square-foot, open-air specialty retail center in Marietta, a suburb of metropolitan Atlanta. Site Solutions’ use of fountains, decorative lighting, brick-clad seat walls, figurative artwork and lush landscaping contribute to the branding and experience of the Avenue® lifestyle product. The site plan is a faceted half circle, which allows for sightlines between retailers, making the project seem smaller and encouraging pedestrian strolling. Radial raised brick-clad pedestrian paths allow shoppers to safely cross the parking areas without stepping into the roadway. The much-acclaimed Avenue® concept has been featured at ICSC meetings held in Atlanta. Site Solutions has worked with Cousins to develop the look and feel of each iteration of its Avenue® concept.
